Dr. Alfred D. Wyatt Jr.

Dr. Alfred Wyatt, Jr. has practiced dentistry for over 30 years and has studied lasers and light technologies in dentistry for over 15 years. A native of Atlanta GA, Dr Wyatt was educated in the Atlanta Public School system.

 

He received a B.S. degree in biology from Clark College in 1980 and his DMD from Medical College of Georgia (School of Dentistry) in 1984. Dental organization affiliations include the National Dental Association, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Society (president-2005), Georgia Dental Association, North Georgia Dental Society, Christian Dental Society, and the Hinman Dental Society. Dr. Wyatt is also a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD) where he has served on the board of directors and attained Advanced Proficiency and Educator Status. He is past chair of the Education Committee of the ALD and has uses several types of lasers in his practice. He has been the author or co-author of several publications related to the clinical use of light technologies. Over the years, he has trained dentists on the use of various light technologies as well. He also presently serves as a dental editor for WebMD. Aside from his practice, Dr. Wyatt has participated in numerous health fairs, taken mission trips to Haiti, treated athletes and other dignitaries in the Olympic Village during the 1996 Olympiad in Atlanta, and volunteers at the Ben Massell dental clinic. Personally, Dr Wyatt has two daughters (Sharla and Nina). His hobbies include beach activities, jazz music, sporting events, cooking and enjoying friends.

Dr. Sharla Wyatt

Dr. Sharla Wyatt has had an interest in dentistry since an early age. A native of East Point Georgia, Dr. Wyatt received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from Meharry Medical College in 2014.

 

Working in the office with her father while in high school initiated her interest in the field. Dr. Wyatt takes pride in being a compassionate and caring dentist to her patients of all ages. She is a 2009 graduate of Hampton University where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Biology. She is a member of the National Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Society and an active participant as a mentor for Debutante’s for Christ. Dr. Wyatt enjoys volunteering in the community, and can often be found at local health fairs and screenings educating the community about importance of oral health care. She is an expanded duties instructor for dental assistants and has served on a mission trip in Jamaica. In her spare time, Dr. Wyatt enjoys traveling, spin class, spending time with friends and mentoring young girls, encouraging them towards professional careers.
